Detailed program of : 4 Days desert tour from Marrakech to Dades and Merzouga

Day 1 : Marrakech_- Ait Ben Haddou - Dades Gorges
Today we start our private Morocco tour to Dades Gorges. We pass through Tizi-n-Tishka in the high Atlas Mountains and have short stops to take some photos. We will visit the Ait Ben Haddou village which is recognized by UNESCO as a world patrimony. It is also the best place for famous cinema directors.and then continue our day enjoying the beautiful natural landscapes of Roses Valley, which is known by Festival of roses. Arrive in Dades Gorges. We spend this night in local hotel.

Day 2 : Dades Gorges – Merzouga

Today we drive towards Merzouga which is known for the highest sand dunes in Morocco. We will have the chance to see many oasis and also palm trees of Ziz –Tafilalet. In Merzouga we ride camels in the sand dunes. We will spend the night in an equipped camp in the middle of the Sahara. At this time, we will explore the secrets of the Sahara and its horizons.

Day 3 : Merzouga - Zagora

Today morning after an early breakfast in the dunes we ride the camels back to the hotel. We take shower, and then start our journey to Draa Valley we pass though oasis of Rissani and Berber towns oasis of Nkoub and Draa valley and sleeping in Zagora in desert.

Day 4 : Zagora – Marrakech

Today you will leave for Marrakesh, exploring Draa valley ,Agdaz ,Ouarzazat and Kasbahs along the way. In Marrakech our tour finish.

Ait Benhaddou is an interesting day trip from Marrakech after you cross the High Atlas Mountains, Ait Benhaddou is the UNESCO site classified since 1987 where few families are still living in Ait Benhaddou, along the way you will admire the Berber villages in the mountains of High Atlas village. 4km of rocky off-road along the salty valley of Ounila to get to Ait benhadou kasbah, a natural decoration for many movies which were shot in the area. Take a walk and cross the dried river with our English speaking driver/guide to dominate the the kasbahs of Ait Benhaddou. You will be invited for tea with one of the families. In the afternoon, drive back to Marrakech via the Tizi n’Tichka.

Taourirt Kasbah ,a former Glaoui palace and the main attraction of the desert oasis city. This 300-room fortress, in part restored, marks the junction of 3 rivers – Dadès, Draâ and Ziz – as well as numerous caravan routes. And while Glaoui chiefs – known as caïd – never resided in this opulent palace, the Glaoui kasbah of Taourirt once housed hundreds of people. You’ll have time to tour the palace and stroll the kasbah’s irregular streets. Late in the afternoon you’ll make the return drive to Marrakech.

Day 1 : Casablanca - Rabat - Meknes

Today we will visit the Hassan II Mosque before departing to Rabat. In Rabat you can visit the Mechouar of the Royal Palace, the ruins of Chellah, the Mohammed V Mausoleum and the Hassan Tower. After lunch we will depart to Meknes to arrive in the early evening.

Day 2 : Meknes - Volubilis - Fes

After breakfast we will take a tour of Meknes including El Hdim square, Bab El Mansour, the massive gate which is the entrance to the old city and the Jewish quarter, the Royal Granaries & the city rampart. We will then depart via Volubilis, the Roman ruins and Moulay Idriss, the holy town. We will continue onto Fes. Dinner and accommodation at a traditional riad.

Day 3 : Fes city tour

You will have a guided tour to discover the medina and the famous souks of Fes - its narrow streets are filled with ancient mosques and minarets. We will visit the most beautiful palaces and monuments of Fez and our guided tour will include a visit to the tannery and the ceramic cooperative to see traditional Moroccan crafts.

Day 4 Fes - Ilfrane - Azrou - Midelt - Merzouga

Today we will depart for Merzouga through the Middle Atlas region. We will drive through Ifrane, the ‘Switzerland’ of Morocco and the cedar forests of Azrou where we can stop to hand feed the monkeys. We will continue to Midelt where we will have lunch. We will then follow the Ziz River through the valley and stop to see the Ziz Gorges on our way to Merzouga.

Day 5 : Merzouga desert 4x4 tour and camel trekking

Today we will explore the desert region and the marvel that is the Erg Chebbi desert dunes. We will make a circuit of the desert dunes where you will have the opportunity to see the nomad's way of life and the amazing changing contrasts of the desert. We will visit the ‘black village’ of Khamlia to see the Gnawa musicians. We will have a traditional Berber pizza for lunch. In the afternoon we will ride the camels to watch the sunset over the dunes and spend the night in the desert camp. We will have a traditional tagine dinner, and we listen to traditional Berber music.

Day 6 : Merzouga -Rissani - Todra Gorges - Dades Gorges

We will wake up early to see the spectacular sunrise over the dunes before making our way back to the hotel for breakfast and a shower. We will viti Rissani market and cross the palm lined valleys of Tourog and Tinjdad to arrive at the Todra Gorge. We will take a walk in the Todra Gorges and have lunch in a local restaurant before continuing to the Dades Gorge where we stay overnight in local hotel.

Day 7 : Dades Gorge - El Kelaa Magona - Skoura - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

After breakfast we will take a walk in the gorge and then take the off road track to see the nomad caves. We will continue via El Kelaa Magona, Valley of the Roses and the Skoura oasis to arrive in Ouarzazate. Then we will depart to Ait Benhaddou and visit the World Heritage site. We will continue with a visit to the traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet and the Kasbah el Glaoui. We will have lunch in a local restaurant in Telouet before descending the Tizi-n-Tichka to Marrakech.

Day 8 : Marrakech city tour and free program

You will have a guided tour to discover the multiple facets of Marrakech with a stroll in the labyrinth of the narrow streets of the Medina amongst its famous Souks and a visit to the most beautiful palaces and monuments of Marrakech.

Day 9 : Marrakech - Casablanca

We will spend the morning at leisure for shopping or relaxing in Marrakech before leaving mid afternoon to arrive in Casablanca by 4 pm. That will be end of Morocco tour.

After that we will arrive to Dades Gorges and we will spend the night in local hotel.


Day 2 : Dades Gorges – Merzouga

Today’s target point is arriving to Merzouga which is known for the highest sand dunes . It is called Erg Chebbi Sahara desert . On our way, we will see many oasis such as the oasis of Tinjdad. After we arrive to Rissani ,we will continue our way enjoying the green oasis of palm trees of Ziz –Tafilalet and the black Hamada before arriving to Merzouga and greet our camels who are waiting to take us on an adventure in the sand dunes. We will spend the night in an equipped camp in the middle of the Sahara! This is a great opportunity to take lovely pictures of the sunset and sunrise. At this time, we will explore the secrets of the Sahara.


Day 3 : Merzouga - Todra Gorges - Ouarzazatte - Marrakech

After an early breakfast we ride the camels back to the hotel. We take shower, and then start our journey to Marrakech by Draa valley ,Agdaz ,Ouarzazate and Kasbahs along the way then Marrakech.
